Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data RJ Tech House collects through rjtechhouse.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We have written it to describe what this website actually does — not a generic template.
RJ Tech House is a software development company based in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. For the purposes of data protection law, RJ Tech House is the data controller (or, under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the Data Fiduciary) for the data described here.
1. What we collect
Information you give us through the contact form
When you submit the enquiry form on our site, we collect:
| Field | Required | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Full name | Yes | To address you correctly |
| Email address | Yes | To reply to your enquiry |
| Phone number | No | To reach you if you prefer a call |
| Company / organisation | No | To understand your context |
| Project type | Yes | To route your enquiry correctly |
| Budget range | No | To assess fit before we reply |
| Project description | Yes | To understand what you need |
Information collected automatically
When you submit the form, we also record your IP address. We use it only to limit how many submissions can come from one address per hour, which protects the form from automated abuse. We do not use it to profile you.
Our web server and hosting provider also keep standard access logs, which typically include IP addresses, timestamps and requested pages. These are generated by the hosting infrastructure rather than by us.
What we do not do
We want to be specific about this, because it is unusual:
- This website sets no tracking cookies.
- We run no analytics — no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no heatmapping, no session recording.
- We run no advertising or retargeting pixels.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone, ever.
- We do not use your data to train machine learning models.
2. Third parties that receive data
We keep these to a minimum. Currently:
- Google Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google’s servers (
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com). To deliver those files, Google receives your IP address and browser information. This happens on page load, before you interact with anything. Google’s handling of that data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. - Our hosting provider. The site and its database run on shared hosting infrastructure. Our host can technically access data stored on the server in the course of operating it.
- Our email provider. Enquiry notifications are delivered to our
info@rjtechhouse.cominbox, so your message passes through mail infrastructure in transit.
3. Why we are allowed to process this (legal bases)
If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, the GDPR requires us to name a lawful basis:
- Consent — you tick the box before submitting the enquiry form. You may withdraw consent at any time (see section 6).
- Legitimate interests — for keeping the form secure against abuse (the IP rate limit), and for responding to business enquiries addressed to us.
- Steps prior to entering a contract — where your enquiry is a request for a quote or proposal.
4. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects: retained for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Enquiries that become client projects: retained for the life of the engagement and afterwards as required for contractual, tax and accounting obligations.
- IP rate-limiting records: automatically discarded after 1 hour.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner. We will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
5. Where your data goes
Our servers are operated by our hosting provider, and our data is stored on infrastructure that may be located outside your country. If you contact us from the UK or EEA, your data will be transferred to and stored in India and potentially other jurisdictions. Where such transfers occur, we rely on your explicit consent and take reasonable steps to protect your data in transit and at rest.
6. Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct it if it is wrong or incomplete
- Delete it
- Withdraw consent you previously gave
- Object to or restrict how we use it
- Receive a copy in a portable format
To exercise any of these, email info@rjtechhouse.com. We will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you for this and we will not make you justify the request.
If you are in the UK or EEA and believe we have handled your data improperly, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in India, you may raise a grievance with us using the contact details below and, if unsatisfied, escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so data you submit is encrypted in transit. Enquiries are stored in our website database with access restricted to authorised personnel. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we do not collect more than we need, which is the most effective protection we can offer you.
8. Children
This site offers business-to-business services and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use data you already gave us will be communicated directly where we have your contact details.
